Police found a large quantity of marijuana plants growing in a Monroe County home and have arrested the homeowner on various drug count.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said on March 7 about 9:30 a.m. a search warrant was served on the residence at 4519 Keinsington Drive, Tobyhanna, after receiving information of a marijuana grow at the home.Seized in the search was about 373 marijuana plants which were located in various rooms in the home. The estimated street value of this particular strain of marijuana is in excess of several hundred thousand of dollars, police said.It was also learned that the homeowner, later identified as David Wood, 45, of 2333 Fifth Ave., New York City, N.Y., was stealing electricity which resulted in a theft of over $15,000. Wood was not present at the time and an arrest warrant was obtained.On March 16 Wood was located when he returned to the home. He was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (felony), unlawful possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and theft of services (a felony three).He was arraigned before District Judge Brian R. Germano, of Marshalls Creek, and committed to the county prison in Snydersville after failing to post $100,000 bail.Police were assisted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, New York City police, state police, and PPL Services.
