The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Tuesday.

Low pressure will develop off the southeastern coast Monday night, then track northeastward Tuesday into Wednesday while rapidly intensifying. There remains uncertainty regarding the track of the storm and intensity as it slides by to our east Tuesday night. 

Details are not certain but there’s a possibility of some wintry mix to snow in the area Tuesday and Tuesday night. In addition, strong northerly winds will be possible Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Today: A chance of flurries between 1pm and 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 40. Northwest wind 9 to 13 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 19. Northwest wind around 15 mph.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 33. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph.

Monday Night:Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. Light south wind.

Tuesday: Snow likely after 9 a.m. Cloudy, with a high near 32. South wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Tuesday Night: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 26. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 33.
