Trinity happenings
Sunday worship and service of healing and blessing of prayer shawls at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., begins at 9:30 a.m. The service of healing with prayers and the “laying on of hands” are said for those to help ease one’s emotional, physical and spiritual burdens. Prayer shawls are handmade by volunteers, and are to be used in times of joy or sorrow and ordinary times during daily faith practices. The prayer shawls are available at no cost. Vicar Rich Bergen presides. Coffeehouse fellowship is at 10:30 a.m.
Sunday church school classes for students age 3 through sixth grade begin at 10:45 a.m.
A Reformation Dinner to celebrate its 500th anniversary will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday in Luther Hall. Please contact the church office at 610-377-4303 to make a reservation for this free event. The dinner features German food. The program of viewing the film “Luther and the Reformation” and discussion will follow.
Bethany EC Church
Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.
Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, fellowship time 10:15-10:45 a.m., morning worship at 10:45 a.m., preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Evening worship, 7 p.m., fellowship hall, In Celebration of Five Centuries of Truth-devoted to an examination of the central truth of the Reformation: Justification by Faith. Community welcome.
Monday: Kids Club, 6-7:15 each Monday evening.
Tuesday: Ladies Bible study, 10 a.m. at Blocker’s residence
Wednesday: Revelation Bible study, 6 p.m.; prayer meeting, 7 p.m.
Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.; choir practice, 7 p.m.
Friday: Wrapped in Prayer Ministry, 7 p.m.
