State Police - Schuylkill Haven
State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks reported the following:
• A 32-year-old Orwigsburg man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop police made at 12:18 a.m. Nov. 23.
They stopped him in a 2005 Subaru Outback for traffic violations at the intersection of Bruck Hill Road and Route 61 in West Brunswick Township, after which time he failed standardized field sobriety tests and was taken for a blood draw.
• Raymond E. Hall, 51, of Saint Clair, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 3:41 p.m. Dec. 5 on Route 61 southbound in North Manheim Township.
Police said he was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado when he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve in the road. The vehicle struck the concrete median and came to rest on the eastern shoulder of the road. The Silverado needed to be towed from the scene, police said.
• Two people were injured in a crash at 8:09 a.m. Nov. 21 on Route 61 southbound in North Manheim Township.
Police said Carm Maldonado-Martinez, 54, of Schuylkill Haven, the driver of one of the vehicles, and her passenger, Kyle D. Goodwine, 34, of Reading, were transported by personnel from the Pottsville/Schuylkill Haven Area EMS corps to the Geisinger-St. Luke’s Hospital, Orwigsburg, to be treated for suspected minor injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle, Santos E. Gomezromero, 38, of the Bronx, New York, was uninjured, police said.
Troopers did not provide the details of the crash.
• Justin L. Rapp, 41, of Bloomsburg, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a two-vehicle crash at 2:44 p.m. Nov. 22 on North Sillyman Street in Cressona. No one was injured in the incident.
Police said he was driving a 2007 Dodge Caravan while the other driver, Edward Barnetsky, 63, of Minersville, was driving a 2010 Toyota Rav4.
Police did not provide the details of the incident.
