Police said the crash occurred when Zynel was driving a 1999 Toyota Camry westbound and it hit the rear of a Volvo Loader driven by Todd M. Gerber, 37, of Tamaqua, that was stopped partially on the right side of the road. Medvitz was a passenger with Zynel. Gerber was uninjured.
