State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks reported the following:

• A 44-year-old man from Tower City is facing charges as a result of police being called to the theft of two guns from a residence on Centre Street, Ashland.

A 48-year-old woman from Mahanoy City reported the guns were stolen from her residence by the defendant, who police said is a felon who is not to possess a firearm.

Stolen in the incident were a Beretta 9-mm pistol valued at R400 and a Sturm, Ruger & Co. 9-mm pistol worth $900.

• A 42-year-old New Ringgold man is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and driving under the influence after a traffic stop police made at 10:16 a.m. Nov. 24.

They stopped him in a 2011 Subaru at the intersection of Industrial Park Road and Mill Creek Avenue, East Norweigan Township.
