State police at Frackville - crashes

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following:

• Ronny Jerez, 33, of Sugarloaf, was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic after a one-vehicle mishap at 4:41 p.m. Dec. 2 on the Burma Road in Ryan Township.

Police said he was driving a 2012 Acura northbound when it traveled off the road and struck a tree.

Police said Jerez had an injury to his left wrist and was treated at the scene by personnel from the Ryan Township Emergency and Rescue Squad.

Police said the car had disabling damages and was towed from the scene.

• Holly A. Adamitis, 49, of Coaldale, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 2:48 p.m. Dec. 2 on Route 209 in Walker Township.

Police said she was driving a 2019 Kia Sportage northbound when a deer entered her lane of travel and was struck by the car. It sustained disabling damages and needed to be towed from the scene, police said.

• Matthew A. Vargas, 26, of Berwick, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 6:08 a.m. Dec. 2 on Interstate 81 in Kline Township. He was uninjured.

Police said he was driving a 2015 Hyundai Sonata southbound when he attempted to exit the interstate at Exit 138 and lost control of the vehicle. It went up a small embankment and overturned onto its roof.

The car sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene, police said.
