Tamaqua Public Library news

• The Tamaqua Public Library is a drop off location for the Marine’s Toys For Tots campaign. Please consider making a donation of a new, unwrapped toy for children in need this holiday season.

There’s still time to bring in your new, unwrapped toys.

• The Tamaqua Public Library’s Holiday Book Sale is in full swing through Dec. 16.

Stop by to check out the huge selection and super low prices.

• The library is helping needy children this Christmas by offering Angel Tree tags for the Salvation Army Tamaqua Service Center.

Stop by to help out a child. The tags have a child’s first name, age and information to choose a gift.

• The Tamaqua Public Library’s Preschool Program will continue through Dec. 21.

You and your child are welcome to explore the traditions of Hanukkah and Kwanzaa at 4 p.m. Dec. 11 and Dec. 18, or at 10 a.m. Dec. 6 and 7, 13 and 14, and 20 and 21.

• The library will host a free holiday party from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 18 for children up to 17 years old.

The party will feature stories, crafts, snacks and gifts. Registration is required.
