A Schuylkill County motorcyclist was injured in a crash on Tuesday, Sept. 8. State police at Frackville said the crash occurred along Phineyville Road, about two miles from SR924, in East Union Township.

Troopers said Michael Dunphy, 24, of Mahanoy City, was driving a 1995 Kawasaki eastbound when the bike left the road onto the south berm where it struck a tree.Dunphy was flown by LifeFlight helicopter to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, for treatment of what troopers called were serious injuries. Damages were severe to the bike. The investigation into the crash is continuing.
