State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks have reported on the following:
• Javier A. Torres, 22, of Silver Springs, Florida, was cited for following too closely after a rear-end collision at 1:46 p.m. Nov. 17 on Route 61 in West Brunswick Township.
Police said he was driving a 2002 Chrysler Concorde southbound when it failed to stop in time and struck the rear of a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Ethen L. Androshick, 23, of Pottsville, who had stopped for a red light signal.
No one was injured. Police said the Chrysler was towed from the scene.
• Robert Weismiller, 30, of Cressona, is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 12:13 a.m. Nov. 15 at the intersection of Market and Pike streets in Port Carbon.
Police said he was stopped in a 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer and was found to be in possession of methamphetamines.
• Jaylene Valentin Hernandez, 37, of Mary D, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:38 a.m. Nov. 18 on Route 209 in New Philadelphia.
Police said she was transported by personnel from the Schuylkill Valley EMS unit to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-East, Pottsville.
Police said she was driving a 2001 Ford Escape east when she lost control of the car. It crossed the westbound lane of travel and overturned, coming to rest on its roof facing east on the north shoulder of the road.
The car was towed from the scene.
Police said Valentin Hernandez was cited for the crash.
