A Lehighton Christmas tree is once again being used in the Pennsylvania Capitol.
A 20-foot Douglas fir provided by Crystal Springs Tree Farm in Carbon County was set up today in the Main Rotunda.
The tree was delivered on a flatbed truck and it took about 20 workers Wednesday morning to bring the tree into the building to be set up as the official Capitol Christmas Tree. It will be decorated with homemade ornaments and then lit at a ceremony in coming weeks.
This is the 26th year owner Chris Botek has made the journey from Mahoning Township to Harrisburg with a tree to display.
He has also had the distinction of having a 19-foot tree in the White House, the latest in 2016.
