State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a stabbing after a fight at a party in Lansford Friday night.
Police said they responded to a call at 10:50 p.m. in the area of West Snyder Avenue for a report of gun shots heard.
Shortly after the trooper’s initial arrival on scene, they were notified by the St. Luke’s Miners Campus Hospital that a juvenile male stabbing victim was brought in from Lansford.
The male, whose age and address were not released, had been stabbed twice in his back.
Police said her had a punctured lung and was listed in stable condition.
Through investigation, it was determined that a large house party had taken place at a residence on East Water Street, Lansford Borough, where a fight took place, resulting in the victim being stabbed. Police said a bystander then fired two rounds from a firearm, in an unknown direction, causing all people to flee the scene.
This investigation is ongoing in conjunction with members of PSP Lehighton along with the Carbon County District Attorney’s Office.
Police said no other information will be released at this time.
