ON THIS DATE NOVEMBER 18, 1980

Fred Hussar, retiring Grand Knight of the Damien Council, Knights of Columbus, was feted at a testimonial banquet Saturday night in the St. Joseph’s Club, Jim Thorpe.

More than 100 men and women attended the program as Arthur Yohe, Bethlehem, past state deputy of Pennsylvania, K. of C., congratulated Hussar for his highly-successful tenure in the Jim Thorpe council’s top office.

Hussar was presented a beautiful jeweled memento of his years of service as grand knight. Special awards were also presented to William Schmidt and George Snerr, past officers of the Lafayette Council, Knights of Columbus.
