2 injured when vehicle goes into creek

Two people were injured in a crash at 7:48 a.m. Oct. 26 on Independent Road in Weisenberg Township.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said Carissa H. Snelling, 40, the driver of the vehicle, and a 3-year-boy, both from New Tripoli, were transported by personnel from the Cetronia Ambulance Corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Police said the crash occurred when Snelling was southbound in a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe and lost control on a right curve in the roadway. They said she went off the right side of the road and struck a ditch and an embankment and landing on its roof in a creek.

Snelling was cited for the crash, police said.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
