State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks have released the following reports:

• Police were called to a theft at 3:09 p.m. Oct. 22 at a property on Little Gap Road in Lower Towamensing Township, but their investigation determined no theft had occurred. A 67-year-old woman from Palmerton reported the incident.

• A 47-year-old Saylorsburg man was charged after police were summoned to an assault case at 4:15 p.m. Oct. 27 on Rolling Meadows Road, Ross Township.

Police said the man threatened a 47-year-old woman with a knife and assaulted her by repeatedly punching her. He also resisted arrest and attempted to assault two people, police said. He was not named in the release.

• Thomas Grabko, 33, of Kunkletown, was charged with operating a vehicle with a DUI-suspended license for a third time after police stopped him at 12:05 a.m. Oct. 31.

They stopped him in a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country vehicle for speeding on Centre Street in Parryville.

• Jason Garcia, 25, of Albrightsville, is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop police made at 4:27 p.m. Oct. 31.

They stopped him on Lehigh Drive in Bowmanstown for Title 75 violations. A search warrant was executed and the drugs and paraphernalia were found.

• An 89-year-old Kunkletown man is the victim of a theft incident that police responded to at 9 a.m. Oct. 31 at a property near Matthew Lane and Lower Smith Gap Road in Lower Towamensing Township.

Police said the man allowed an unknown female to sleep over at his residence for the night and in the morning realized there was $80 missing from his wallet after he dropped off the woman at a convenience store in Palmerton.

• A 28-year-old woman from Blakely is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police made a traffic stop.

They stopped her while driving a Chevrolet Blazer at the intersection of Forge and Allen streets in Weissport for a traffic violation.

• A 59-year-old Saylorsburg woman was lodged in the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, on assault charges after police responded to a domestic dispute at 10:20 p.m. Nov. 1 on Bonser Road in Ross Township.

The victim is a 63-year-old man from Saylorsburg.

• A 65-year-old Nesquehoning man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop police made at 8:56 p.m. Nov. 2 at the intersection of Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East and East Penn Street in Lehighton.

Police said he was stopped in a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt for a Motor Vehicle Code violation.

• A 27-year-old man from Freeland is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop they made at 4:39 p.m. Nov. 3 at the intersection of South Poplar Street and Carleton Avenue in Hazleton.

He was driving a 2012 Subaru Legacy when police stopped him for a Motor Vehicle Code violation.

• A 30-year-old Allentown woman is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop. Police stopped her in a 2017 GMC Terrain at 11:06 a.m. Nov. 1 on Interchange Road, Towamensing Township. Police said while she was being processed for DUI she was also found to be in possession of illegal drugs.
