The Ryan Township Fire Company celebrated its 38th anniversary with a dinner and dance on Saturday night with over 200 persons in attendance.

President William Wildoner delivered words of welcome and commented on the achievement of the company of paying the $100,000 debt for the new building in two years, along with completing payment on the fire company grove.

The company honored two firemen. The “Firefighter of the Year” award went to John W. Faust, presented by George Sanchez, fire marshal, while the “Fire Company Award” was presented to Albert Yatsko by William O’Brian, captain of the fire police.
