Pictures with Santa

Palmerton Area High School Class of 1972 is holding its annual Pictures with Santa event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Aquashicola Volunteer Fire Company, Little Gap Road, Palmerton. Plan to attend.

Holiday open house

The Carbon Model Railroad Society will hold its’ Holiday Open House at 529 Ore St., Bowmanstown. Hours are 7-9 p.m. on Thursdays, Nov. 30 and Dec. 7, 14 and Jan. 4. Also from 1-5 p.m. on weekends, Nov. 25, 26, Dec. 2, 3, 9, 10 and Jan. 6 and 7.

The main HO scale display is in various stages of completion and is an excellent learning tool. The club’s portable HO and N displays will also be in operation and there will be a model railroad yard sale. Admission is free. Donations are welcome. For more information, call Garry at 610-826-6636.

Breakfast

An all-you-can-eat breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to noon on Sunday at the Towamensing Township Volunteer Fire Co., 107 Fire House Road, Trachsville. The menu includes scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, pancakes, cream chipped beef, juice, milk, coffee and tea. All are invited.

Craft show

A craft show and basket social will be held at First United Church of Christ, 457 Delaware Ave. in Palmerton, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. In addition to the basket social there will be special door prizes with special ticket purchase. The kitchen will be open with breakfast and lunch items. There will be a bake sale with homemade treats and goodies.

Breakfast

An all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet will be held at the Bowmanstown Rod & Gun Club, 525 Club Road, Palmerton. The event will be from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday. Items include eggs to order, ham, bacon, sausage, pancakes, potatoes, etc.

Wing, taco and clam specials are every Wednesday night from 5 to 8 p.m. Dinner is served every Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Thanksgiving dinner

Thanksgiving dinner will be served at Faith Alive Church, Bowmanstown on Saturday. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and dinner will be served from 1-3 p.m. All are welcome to share this dinner. No takeouts. For more information call any of these numbers: 610-852-3833, 610-767-4157 or 570-386-5586.
