Incumbents in Schuylkill County row offices held off challengers Tuesday in the general election.
Republican Linda Yeich had 22,668 votes for a third term as treasurer. Her challenger Joseph J. Post, a Democrat who was a tax account collector for the Department of Revenue, had 10,340 votes.
Yeich, of Schuylkill Haven, has a degree in business administration from Penn State and serves on the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Schuylkill County Board of Realtors.
Republican Theresa Santai Gaffney, of Friedensburg, easily defeated Thomas C. McCabe with 21,269 votes for the office of Register of Wills. McCabe, a retired postal service worker, had 12,033 votes.
Crista DiCasimirro, of Mahanoy Township, will serve as the next clerk of courts. DiCasimirro, who has worked within the county since 2015 and has served as First Deputy Clerk of Courts since 2017, had 22,299 unofficial votes to Democratic candidate’s Jesseca Sickle’s 10,544 votes.
Other row officer candidates were unchallenged.
Incumbent Republican Sharyn Yackenchick will serve her second term as county controller. She had 27,989 votes.
Republican prothonotary Bridget McGowan Miller had 28,267 votes for a second term.
Republican Ann Dudish was unchallenged for her second term as recorder of deeds and received 28,696 votes.
David J. Moylan, a Republican, will serve his fourth term as Schuylkill County coroner. He was unchallenged in both the primary and Tuesday’s election, and had 28,133 votes.
