November 7, 1975 - Bob Holmberg kicks a 25-yard field goal as time expires to lift Tamaqua to a 17-14 victory over West Hazleton. After the Blue Raiders are stopped on a fourth-and-one at the Wildcat 12-yard line with 59 seconds left to play, the game seems headed for a tie. But West Hazleton gains just six yards on three plays and faces a decision on fourth down with seven seconds to play. Having had one punt blocked earlier and two near misses, the Wildcats have their QB run backwards in hopes of running out the clock. The move fails when Tamaqua tackles him with one second left to set up the winning FG. The winners, coached by Walt Ligenza, gain touchdowns in the game from Bill Bensinger and Francis Inama.
