The Monroe County commissioners approved several items during their meeting on Nov. 1.
• Overtime for the Sheriff’s Office - (period ending Oct. 8) deputies, 9.75 hours; security, 33 hours; clerks, 3.50 hours; (period ending Oct. 22) deputies, 20.25 hours; and security, 33.25 hours;
• Vouchers - $2,126,283.74 for the week ending Oct. 20; and $1,196,417.10 for the week ending Oct. 27;
• Gross payroll - $1,344,988.95 for the period ending Oct. 22;
• Healthcare benefits payments - Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield: $76,854.44 on Oct. 18; $318,197.08 on Oct. 24; and $180.63 on Oct. 25; Geisinger: $4,351.20 on Oct. 17; $103,965.86 on Oct. 16; and $90,389.32 on Oct. 24; Dental: $6,058.57 on Oct. 16; $6,036.34 on Oct. 20; $1,028.60 on Oct. 23; and $6,573.82 on Oct. 27;
• Children & Youth Services - 2022/23 Juvenile Probation Office Title IV-E Claim Reports the federal reimbursement of administrative costs: third quarter - $3,155.08; and fourth quarter - $2,960.04; Fiscal Year 2022/23 Fourth Quarter Act 148 Report in the amount of $16,072,610;
• Budget adjustment report dated Oct. 26 totaling $602,765;
• Monroe County Retirement Board request for the actuarial contribution paid in one lump sum payment from the general fund into the retirement fund for December;
• The 2023-24 Hazardous Materials Response Fund Grant in the amount of $7,821 for the period of July 1, 2023 through Sept. 30, 2024;
• The fiscal director to electronically sign the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program - Intrusion Detection Service MS-ISAC Albert Sensors agreement, and for the Security Awareness Service agreement, both from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, 2024;
• A request to use Courthouse Square for the annual tree lighting ceremony from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 24;
• Approved vendors list - Area Agency on Aging: Michelle J. Vecchio and Salvatore Musumeci;
• Agreements with Norstar Networks (Co-stars): Provide SIP Device License for courthouse video conferencing audio for $2,651.88; provide 40 hours of professional services in the amount of $5,800;
• Ratification of the acceptance of a proposal from Value Engineering Inc. for $2,500 for Wetland Consulting Services at 4227 Manor Drive, Hamilton Township, Monroe County;
• Right of Way Agreement with Blue Ridge Technologies to grant use of the underground conduit to supply cable to the Courthouse Renovation Expansion Project;
• Domestic Relations - software agreement with Enformion for Child Support Enforcement and Investigations from Dec. 15 to Dec. 15, 2026, with $4,638 annual fee;
• Monroe County Office of Emergency Management - Professional Services Agreement with MCM Consulting Group Inc. to update the Monroe County Hazard Mitigation Plan for $98,222.25 from Nov. 1 to July 31, 2025;
• Monroe County Transportation Authority - 2023/24 Medical Assistance Transportation First Quarter Report in the amount of $139,970.52;
• Capital Purchases Report for Oct. 26 for $38,324.33;
• Computer Capital Purchases Report for Oct. 26 for $16,568.75.
