Art exhibit starts at ESU Nov. 8

East Stroudsburg University’s Madelon Powers Gallery will present an Alumni Biennial Exhibition from Nov. 8 to Dec. 8.

The exhibit will feature a diverse range of mediums, styles, and concepts of alumni who have careers in photography, graphic design, animation, cinematography, sound recording, fine art, art education, and more.

Alumni presenting work in the exhibit include Alma Barrantes ’13, Henry Becker ’14, Abby Bramon ’13, Terrance Burke ’94, Joe Caviston ’09, Jackie Corban ’15, Lindsay Godin ’14, Pete Mackey ’02, Andreas Marquez Alomar ’19, Ed Nufrio ’14, Michael J Perez ’20, Emilie Seda ’20, Beauregard Walker ’20, and Bethany Wert ’12.

A reception for the artists is from 4 to 5 p.m. Nov. 8. Following the reception, some of the artists will take part in a panel discussion at 5 p.m. in the Cohen Recital Hall. Both the exhibit and reception are free to the public.

The exhibition was co-curated by Darlene Farris-LaBar, David Mazure, professor of art, media and design, and Alma Barrantes.

The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The gallery is in the Fine and Performing Arts Center at Normal and Marguerite streets.
