The northbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike are closed as crews respond to reports of a fatal crash between the Route 903 slip ramp and the Pocono exit.

Officials are reporting a tri-axle dump truck ran into a vehicle disabled in the construction zone.

Maintenance crews are in the process of u-turning passenger vehicles.

Motorists, according to turnpike officials, will travel south in the north lanes and exit at the on ramp at Exit #87 for Route 903.

“Do not u-turn until you are directed by a turnpike employee or other emergency personnel,” turnpike officials posed on social media. “If you are not u-turned (commercial vehicles & passenger vehicles), you may be directed off at a temporary construction gate.”
