To the voters of Carbon County,
I have spent the past year and a half as an appointed member of the Nesquehoning Borough Council and currently sit as the chairperson of both The Quality-of-Life Committee and Blight Committee. I have learned firsthand the importance of having a Magistrate – Magisterial District Judge that understands the plight of our small towns and has a vested interest in improving the quality of life for all citizens of Carbon County. Billy O’Gurek could have received his education and left Carbon County as others have done, but he made the decision to stay here serving for years on Summit Hill Borough Council, working hard with town officials to combat blight and crime. Having this experience, you can be assured that Billy understands the importance of supporting borough code enforcement while being fair and using good common sense. Billy supports our local police, making crime prevention a top priority. Billy has earned the proper certification to be a Magisterial District Judge, but far beyond any certification, I can assure you that Billy cares deeply about the quality of life for everyone living in Carbon County. Born here, lived here, stayed here, served here ... that’s Billy. I urge you to vote for Billy O’Gurek for Magistrate this November.
