Lehigh Carbon Community College’s Carbon College and Career Opportunity Day for 50 select students is Friday at the LCCC Morgan Center in Tamaqua.
Carbon Career and Technical Institute juniors and seniors will visit and tour the Morgan Center, explore a variety of interest areas, network with mentors from Carbon County businesses and learn about the college application process.
The program is funded by a grant from the First Federal Community Foundation and is a project of the Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corporation’s Business and Education Partnership. The 50 CCTI students, as well as their counselors, will have breakout sessions and network with local employers.
Registration is at 9 a.m., followed by an alumni speaker and breakout sessions from 9:45 to 11:20 a.m. Following a networking luncheon, students will be able to talk with admissions and financial aid representatives. The event finishes at 1:30 p.m.
