Pennsylvania has been awarded $193.4 million from the federal government for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, according to Congresswoman Susan Wild.

The program helps individuals and families with low incomes pay home heating costs this winter, as well as prevent energy shut-offs, weatherize homes to increase energy efficiency, and make minor energy-related home repairs.

Pennsylvania was awarded a total of $193,486,298.

• $193,080,868 for the regular LIHEAP block grant funding.

• $3,405,430 in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding for Fiscal Year 2024.

The funding is administered through the Administration for Children and Families’ Office of Community Services at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
