Residents of the Village of Brockton dedicated a new Veterans Memorial monument on Saturday, the statue honoring “all who served.”

Ron Roman, a retired lieutenant, served as master of ceremonies for the dedication program that followed a parade. The village had been without a veterans’ memorial for some time, since the old one, made of wood, deteriorated.

Speakers for the program included state Rep. Neal Goodman, Jerry Knowles, special projects coordinator for Rep. David Argall, and Brenda Zechman, Schuylkill County Veterans Affairs director. The Rev. Edward Coleman blessed the monument.
