A 38-year-old Lehighton woman was killed Wednesday afternoon in a head-crash in Walker Township.
State Police at Frackville identified the woman as Jodi L. Green.
Police said a 53-year-old-woman was driving south on Route 209 when she swerved and crossed the line and hit Green, who was traveling north. Police said the car following Green, driven by a 23-year-old man, had a minor collision with Green’s car. The incident occurred at 4:11 p.m.
Police said Green was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the first car, who police did not identify, had serious injuries and was taken to LVH-Cedar Crest.
Two passengers in Green’s car were flown from the scene to LVH-Cedar Crest with serious injuries.
Police said the road remained closed for accident reconstruction Thursday afternoon.
Crews responding to the scene included Tamaqua Fire Department, Walker Fire Department, and Lehighton, Schuylkill and Tamaqua EMS units.
Police did list names or addresses for any of the other people involved in the incident.
