• Maple Shade Meadows, second annual Trunk or Treat, 6 to
8 p.m. Oct. 27, 50 E. Locust St., Nequehoning.
• Heritage Hill Senior Community, drive-through trunk-or-treat, 4:30 to
6 p.m. Oct. 27 at 800 Sixth St., Weatherly.
• Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Co. Auxiliary will host a trunk-or-treat for children of the community on Oct. 29 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the fire company, 2440 Fairyland Road, Lehighton. In addition to treats from those outside and an opportunity to see the fire trucks, the auxiliary will offer hot dogs, potato chips, a cookie and a drink to those attending.

• Halloween Spooktacular, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 28, Chestnuthill Township Park, 221 Route 715, Brodheadsville. Come in costume and celebrate silly, not-too-spooky fun. Costume contest, trunk or treat, watch apple cider making demonstrations, make a Halloween craft, play games, watch some strolling magic, check out the vendors’ and crafters’ merchandise, magic show. Food available for purchase.
• Fall Harvest Fest, Cornerstone Community Church, 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 28. Harvest themed trunks with treats. games, crafts, face painting, bake sale, popcorn, cotton candy, hot cocoa, coffee. Operation Christmas Child drive. Located at 338 Polk Township Road, Kunkletown. 610-681-3534.
• Zion’s Stone Church of West Penn Township fall festival, noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 14, at the West Penn Township park, Andreas. food, games and activities, Trunk-or-Treat, and appearances by the West Penn Fire Company and West Penn Police.
• Hazle Township Fall Festival & Trail of Treats will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 21 and 22 at Hazle Township Community Park, 37 Pecora Blvd., Hazle Township.
The event will have free activities, prizes and giveaways for children. There will be a DJ, photo booth, magician, balloon artist, face painters and a petting zoo, reptile exhibit, scavenger hunt and activities with the Miss Greater Hazleton Scholarship Organization queens including a prize wheel, pumpkin decorating and crafting.
The newest addition will be baby-goat snuggling. There will also be food vendors, craft vendors, informational booths, tricky tray raffle tickets and instant bingo for sale.

• Cherry Valley National Wildlife Refuge Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cherry Valley National Wildlife Refuge, 2138 Croasdale Road, Stroudsburg. Activities will include apple cider press, archery lessons, bat house building, children’s crafts, cider doughnuts, fishing lessons, hoverball, live animal presentations, pumpkin painting and more.
• Jim Thorpe Fall Foliage Festival, which will take place every 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays in October. Free live music on four stages scattered throughout the historic district, showcasing local and regional talent in genres ranging from folk and rock to jazz and blues.
• Special needs individuals and groups of all ages, families, and caregivers are invited to attend It’s a Very Special Halloween Dance Party from 1-3 p.m. on Oct. 28 at Eurana Park in Weatherly.
The event will take place at the park pavilion. Be sure to wear your not-too-spooky costumes.

The Eurana Park Pavilion is located at 560 Third St., Weatherly and is handicapped accessible. There’s no cost for this event.
• Weatherly Faith Alive church will hold “light the night” at 202 Carbon St. from 6 to
8 p.m. on Oct. 31.
There will be games, music, candy for the children and a pumpkin carving contest.
Anyone wishing to participate should carve a pumpkin and bring it to the church by 5:30 p.m. Residents will then be able to vote for the prettiest and funniest pumpkins in three age groups, 1 to 8 years old; 9 to
18; and 19 and older.
Two winners will be chosen in each age group. Winners will be announced Nov. 1 on the What’s Happening in Weatherly Facebook Page.
• Haunted Halloween Fun at the Broadway, Oct. 28 and
29, Jim Thorpe.
• Lansford Halloween Festival, 2 to 6 p.m., Oct. 29 Ashton Park. Trick-or-treat, ages 2 to
12.
• Lehighton Haunted History Ghost Walks at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 26 to
28, 90-minute haunted walking tour.

• Shankweiler’s Drive-In Theatre will host its first Halloween trunk-or-treat event on Saturday, presented by Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital and hosted by acclaimed horror host, Mister Lobo of Cinema Insomnia. The event will feature trunk-decorating contests, costume contests, prizes, free face painting. The night’s movies are included in the admission price. Gates will open at 4 p.m. for trunk decorating, with trunk-or-treating beginning at 4:30. Movies will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased on the company’s website or in-person at the box office.
