State police at the Frackville barracks said a bicyclist who ran through a stop sign intersection without proper clearance struck a car fled the scene.

It happened at 4:07 p.m. Oct. 5 at the intersection of Lombard and Harris streets in New Philadelphia.

Police said the bicycle was southeast on Harris Street when it struck a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze operated by Beverly A. Viars, 55, of New Philadelphia, before fleeing.

The Cruze sustained minor damages, police said.
