State police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported on the following incidents:

• No one was injured in a crash at 3:13 p.m. Oct. 13 on Scenic Drive in Polk Township.

Police said a 2002 Honda CRV operated by Noel A. Brown, 62, of Albrightsville, struck a 2022 Volvo that was stopped for a school bus.

• Police cited a 37-year-old Albrightsville man for simple trespass after they were called to the Woods Camp Ground, Forest Street, Lehighton (Towamensing Township) at 11:21 p.m. Oct. 14. Police said he was observed on the property without being a paid customer.

• Police said a 13-year-old boy from Kunkletown and his mother arrived at the barracks at 2:20 p.m. Oct. 17 to report a case of harassment by physical contact. They said the boy said he has been getting hit daily since August while in school and in a school bus by his classmate.

Police said a non-traffic citation for harassment was filed against the assailant and the Pleasant Valley Middle School principal was notified of the case.

• A 29-year-old Saylorsburg man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police were summoned to a one-vehicle crash at 12:47 a.m. Oct. 18 at the intersection of White Church Lane and Church Road in Eldred Township.

Police said he was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound on White Church Lane when he lost control of the vehicle. It traveled off the right side of the road and up an embankment before rolling onto its driver’s side and became disabled.

• Police said an 81-year-old Saylorsburg man is the victim of a theft by deception attempt. They said he reported at 4:44 a.m. Oct. 18 the actor attempted to scam him out of $50,000. Police said the man, who resides on Pennell Road in Ross Township, is concerned the suspect has his account information.
