Porn photo found in Panther Vy.

A sexually explicit photo has been found circulating through the Panther Valley School District.

According to a press release from Nesquehoning Police that was released Thursday, the department conducted a joint operation with the Carbon County District Attorney and the school district over the matter.

“The investigation is of a sexually explicit picture being circulated throughout the Panther Valley area,” police state.

Panther Valley Superintendent Dave McAndrew Jr. has no comment while the matter is under investigation.

He did say the photograph is not a student or anyone directly affiliated with the Panther Valley School District.

Police confirmed that the photo is not any type of child pornography, but stressed that if a person receives any sexually explicit images, they should delete it from the device it was received on and not further disseminate it.

Any additional information regarding the image should be directed to Nesquehoning Police at 570-669-9111.

Last month, an investigation over a video containing child photography was reported to have been circulating in Lehigh Valley area schools.

At that time, it was confirmed that the video had circulated among students at Northern Lehigh and Parkland school districts.

Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin said at that time that the video was believed to have been created from the Altoona area and did not depict any local children.
