State police at the Pocono barracks reported on crashes on the Northeast extension of the turnpike:
• Kenneth A. Scheetz, 92, of Center Valley, was involved in a crash at 2:10 p.m. Sept. 27 on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Police said he was transported by personnel from the Lehighton Ambulance Association to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
Police said he was driving a 2020 Buick Envision southbound when it struck a 2019 Ford Transit from behind. The Transit was driven by Charles G. Vogel IV, 45, of Horsham, who was uninjured in the incident.
• Troy W. Rudy, 55, of Reading, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 6:42 p.m. Sept. 17 on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Police said it happened at mile marker 82.1 in Penn Forest Township.
They said he was driving a 2016 Subaru Forester southbound and was in the left travel lane when he lost control of the car. It struck a concrete barrier, at which time Rudy swerved to the right and the car then struck a guide rail.
The vehicle sustained disabling damages to its rear axle, police said.
