State police at Bethlehem - incidents

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported on recent incidents:

• Andrew Laskaris, 53 of New Ringgold, was cited for simple trespass after an incident at 12:34 a.m. Sept. 6.

Police said they were called to Kosher Gardens, 1 Cascade Drive, Hanover Township, where Laskaris returned to his previous place of employment after having been told multiple times by the manager of the property not to return there.

• Alexandra Washington, 25, of Schnecksville, was charged with criminal mischief as a result of an incident that happened at 10:20 p.m. June 1 at 4717 Main St., North Whitehall Township.

A 56-year-old woman from Schnecksville told police Washington damaged her 2000 Honda Accord by throwing rocks and debris on it during an alcohol-fueled, rage-filled outburst.

• Carol Griffiths, 73, of Germansville, was charged with retail theft (shoplifting) after police were called to the Weis market, 5020 Route 873, North Whitehall Township, at 2:34 p.m. Sept. 2.

Police said she placed approximately $155 worth of merchandise into reusable grocery bags and passed all points of sale without paying for the merchandise, attempting to leave the store.

She was stopped by the store’s loss prevention personnel who recovered all of the merchandise.

• Matthew Erhardt, 20, of Effort, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop conducted by police at 12:57 a.m. Aug. 11 at 3259 Route 22, Hanover Township.

Police stopped him for committing numerous traffic offenses and detected an odor of alcoholic beverage on him. He was arrested after police administered standardized field sobriety tests to him.

• The hatch of a construction vehicle, valued at $2,000, was stolen from it in North Whitehall Township.

They were called at 1:55 p.m. Sept. 27 to the intersection of Route 145 and Second Street, North Whitehall Township, where a representative of the victim, New Stone Enterprise, Camp Hill, reported the theft of the Cat machinery.

• Police said Andrew Scott Reichard, 30, of Allentown, will be charged with providing false identification to law enforcement personnel after they were called at 4:44 p.m. June 28 to a property on West Church Street in Slatington.

Police said his brother, Matthew Reichard, reported he received warrants from the Administrative Offices of the Pennsylvania Courts for failure to respond to a traffic citation. Matthew Reichard related he did not receive a citation and said his brother told him he provided his information on the traffic stop that police initiated.

Matthew Reichard provided his driver’s license confirming his identity and that he was not the operator of the vehicle the officer had stopped.
