Mahoning Township supervisors took the following action on Wednesday:

• On a 3-2 vote, agreed to advertise for request for proposals for an alternate building code official. Supervisor Deb McGowan and board Chairman Robert Slaw were opposed.

• Tabled the Summit Ridge Phase 1 escrow release for improvements. Summit Ridge Phase 1 escrow is the amount the township requires for infrastructure improvements to be completed.

• Approved a resolution for the 2024 uniform pension plan contribution requirement in the amount of $112,535.

• Approved a resolution for the 2024 nonuniform pension plan contribution requirement in the amount of $36,498.

• Agreed to advertise for a public hearing for the township’s zoning and Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance for 6 p.m. Oct. 24.

• Agreed to advertise to hold budget workshops for 4 p.m. Oct. 30 and 4 p.m. Nov. 6.
