Lehighton man charged with DUI after he struck a parked vehicle

A Lehighton man has been charged after he struck a parked vehicle, according to police.

At 11:20 p.m. Sept. 20, police were notified of a crash in which Lehighton man was reported to be trying to flee the area.

Police said Braxton Reppert, 26, was occupying a vehicle pointed out by witnesses.

Reppert told police he struck a parked vehicle and was simply tired. However, police said Reppert showed signs of impairment.

Field testing was administered, and police believed Reppert was under the influence of controlled substances.

Reppert was taken into custody and he refused to submit to the requested chemical test by blood.

He has been charged with DUI and careless driving.
