The Nesquehoning Lions Club celebrated its 50th anniversary at a special program held at The Lantern, Nesquehoning.

Larry Williams, club president, headed the committee in charge of the celebration. It included former presidents Tony Walck, 1982-83, Tony Cusanelli, 1980-81, and Frank Parano, 1973-74, Carl Andreas, secretary, and Frank Jacobs, treasurer.

Parano, a past District 14-U governor, was the keynote speaker, reflecting on the club’s formation in 1957. He noted the Palmerton Lions Club was the sponsor for the Nesquehoning club’s charter.
