State police at the Frackville barracks just released information about an attack on a corrections officer.

Police were summoned to the SCI Frackville in Ryan Township, after a correctional officer was assaulted.

Police said it happened between 10-10:08 a.m. Aug. 8.

No other details were released at this time.
