State police are investigating an incident where a pedestrian was struck Saturday morning along Route 248 near the Carbon - Northampton county border.

The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near the cantilever. The incident may have involved a sedan and a stake body truck. Both were parked at the scene.

Assisting at the scene were the Lehigh Township police and Lehigh Township fire company who maintained traffic control at the scene reducing eastbound traffic to one lane.

The victim's condition is not known at this time.
