West Penn Township Police Chief James Bonner issued the department’s August activities report, saying the department patrolled 4,390 miles and responded to 271 calls. Officers issued 181 traffic citations and warnings, and there were six vehicle crashes.

“This was just for the month,” supervisors’ Chairman Tony Prudenti said before the board accepted Bonner’s report at a recent meeting.
