No one was injured in an incident at 10:22 p.m. Aug. 18 on Interstate 80 westbound in Pocono Township.

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks said it happened near mile marker 291.1 when Jonathan E. Grillo, 35, of New Britain, was driving a 2006 Acura that was towing a trailer that had a golf cart on it.

Police said the golf cart fell off the trailer onto the interstate.

Jason A. Diehl, 39, of Summit Hill, was driving a 2023 Dodge Ram behind the trailer.

They said due to dark lighting conditions, Diehl was unable to see the cart and hit it. The cart had disabling damages, as did the Dodge which was towed from the scene.

Police said Grillo was cited for not properly securing the cart.
