Thursday night’s football game between Pleasant Valley and East Stroudsburg South was suspended with 1:48 left until halftime.

The two teams were knotted at 6-6 when a lightning strike stopped action. The game was originally delayed 48 minutes due to lightning.

The contest will resume on Monday at 5 p.m. in Brodheadsville.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Bears took a 6-0 lead in the second when quarterback Val Byers-Robinson reached the end zone on a 30-yard touchdown run. South answered back to tie the game on a 41-yard scoring run by Nathan Gray.
