On Sunday, PBS39 will hold a celebration in honor of Sesame Street’s 50th Anniversary. This event is free and will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Zoellner Arts Center in Bethlehem.
Attendees will have a chance to meet and take a photo with Sesame Street walk-around characters Grover and Count von Count.
The celebration will also feature a number of family-friendly activities including educational tables hosted by the National Museum of Industrial History, Da Vinci Science Center and Wildlands Conservancy. There will also be a live concert with Lehigh Valley musical artist Kira Willey.
This event is open to the public, but capacity is limited.
To meet a Sesame Street walk-around character, families should register for a time slot at www.PBS39.org/Sesame. Each family will need only one pass, but the number of children and adults should be noted when registering online.
Attendees should bring their printed or mobile ticket to the event.
“Sesame Street 50 Years and Counting” is sponsored by Aetna Better Health of Pennsylvania and PNC Bank. Visit PBS39.org for more information.
