The Pleasant Valley volleyball team picked up another victory on Friday.

VOLLEYBALL

Pleasant Vy.-PM West

Pleasant Valley made it three consecutive victories to start the season by defeating Pocono Mt. West, 25-16, 25-13, 25-21 in Eastern Pennsylvania Conference action.

Rylee Ruggiero (12 kills) and Lexi Womack (10 kills) both had big games at the net for the Bears (3-0). Hannah Akob added seven kills, while Brianna Bruckman dished out a career-high 29 assists. All four players also had strong games at the service line as Ruggiero and Akob had three aces each, while Womack and Bruckman both had two aces.

GIRLS TENNIS

Pleasant Vy.-ES South

East Stroudsburg South defeated Pleasant Valley, 5-2, in an Eastern Pennsylvania Conference match.

Three of the matches went to a third set and the Cavaliers captured all of them to pull out the win.

Brianca Prideman’s forfeit victory at No. 1 singles and an 8-0 win at No. 4 doubles by Megan Jackson and Avery Logan accounted for the Bears’ points.
