The northbound lanes of Route 309 in West Penn Township was reduced to one lane Thursday afternoon when a tree fell across the roadway. The incident occurred just after noon near the Tamaqua border. West Penn firefighters cut up the tree and removed it. COPYRIGHT LARRY NEFF/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS
