Three people sustained “suspected minor injuries” in a two-vehicle mishap at 12:27 a.m. Aug. 17 on Route in Hamilton Township.

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks said all of the victims were treated at the scene and transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Pocono, East Stroudsburg.

The injured parties are Reginald Derose, 55, of Blakeslee, and Anthony T. Werneke, 54, of New Tripoli, the drivers of the vehicles, and Marie Derose, 53, of Uniondale, New York, a passenger.

Police said Reginald Derose was operating a 2017 Subaru that came to a complete stop in the right lane of travel of Route. 209 northbound and then attempted to make a left lane change due to missing an exit for Route. 33, striking a 2017 International Harvester, resulting in disabling damages to both vehicles that required towing.

Police said Derose was cited for “turning movements and required signals.”
