A 44-year-old Orwigsburg woman is the victim of an assault incident that happened between 8 p.m. Aug. 2 and 10:38 a.m. Aug. 3 along Maple Boulevard in Deer Lake Borough.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said through their investigation they took a 66-year-old man from Virginia Beach, Virginia, into custody and charged him with simple assault and defiant trespassing. A 2008 Ford F250 that he was driving was towed, police said.
