The Coaldale Volunteer Fire Company on Saturday night conducted its 60th anniversary dinner which attracted 50 members and guests at the V.F.W. Post Home.

Honored at the affair was Charles Nedd of Coaldale, who received a gold membership pin for 50 years of service as an active member of the company. He is currently serving as Justice of the Peace in Coaldale and is chairman of the Pensioned Miners Protest Committee, where he leads a campaign to have decreased pensions to miners restored to their original level.

The other 50-year members of the organization are Thomas J. Evans and Thomas West, who are both still living in Coaldale.
