On a 4-2 vote, the Palmerton Borough Council named Richard Nothstein to a vacant seat on its board during last night’s regularly-scheduled meeting.

The action comes after last month’s resignation of Richard Hager, who left the board because of his relocation out of the borough.

Only two persons sought the position, the other being Philip Binder.

Nothstein will fill the final 15 months that are left on Hager’s term once he is sworn into office by Mayor Peter Delich.
