The Tamaqua girls tennis team and the Palmerton golf team both picked up wins on Wednesday.

Tamaqua-NDES

Tamaqua posted its first win of the season, cruising past Notre Dame of East Stroudsburg 5-0.

Emily Antonio, Jenna Fernandez and August Stinson swept singles’ play for the Blue Raiders, who moved to 1-2 on the young season. The teams of Gabby Eroh and Bradyn Brothers and Bri Snyder and Jasmine Eberts won both doubles matches for Tamaqua.

The Spartans fall to 0-1 on the season.

Molly Schaffner posted a victory at No. 3 singles for the Bears (1-2 overall), while Ryan Rosenberg and Mariana Barragan teamed up for a win in the No. 1 doubles match.

Montana Weidman and Claire Martocci posted singles wins for the Slaters, who improve to 1-1 on the season.
