Busy morning in Tamaqua

A quick response by all four Tamaqua fire companies early Tuesday morning saved a home when a fire broke out. Firefighters were dispatched to a dwelling fire at 2:30 a.m. at 206 Biddle St., a half double duplex. Fire crews knocked down the flames within minutes. Tamaqua fire police shut down Pine Street. Tamaqua emergency personnel were also dispatched to a crash early Tuesday morning in the 300 block of West Broad Street. The crash happened at 2:30 a.m. as the Tamaqua fire department was responding to a working dwelling fire at 206 Biddle St. A woman driving west on Broad Street hit two parked vehicles. Tamaqua fire police maintained traffic control. Tamaqua police are investigating.
